Martinez received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, his MBA from the Incarnate Word College and his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is the faculty adviser for Delta Sigma Pi, the professional business fraternity, for which he was recognized with the Adviser of the Year Award. He has also been honored with the St. Mary’s University Marianist Heritage Award, the Outstanding Teaching/Student Development Award from the National Society of Leadership and Success, and numerous Greehey School of Business Outstanding Teaching Awards.  

Martinez is passionate about teaching and inspiring his students to provide them with a strong foundation for their future. He works diligently with students to help them attain internships and jobs in their respective fields. As stated by one of his students, “He has inspired me in so many ways; I have never met someone like him who is willing to help simply because he enjoys it and believes it is the right thing to do.”
